Preschool

Owen had a good day at school. They love him in there. Everyday I get a progress note sent home about what they did for the day.

Owen is the meteorologist this week
Today they had fruit snacks and vanilla waffers for snack
They read the book Special People, Special Ways.
During free play he played with the 'black' playdough.
They played indoors today in the play tunnels during group play.
They made friendship bracelets and gave them to a friend.

In October they are starting show-n-share on Mondays. Owen will take something to school to share with his class, he seems very excited and has already told me he wants to take his dinosaurs. He loves his dinosaurs and is getting quite the collection of them. He even lets Chubby play with them sometimes! They are also starting colors in October. Each week will have a different color theme and lots of neat activities to go with the theme. At the end of the month they are having a fall fest. I don't know much about it yet but I'm sure it will be nice :)

Sunday

Today was a productive day. Yeah for me :) I got some cleaning done and some laundry washed, dried and even put away! The boys have been exceptional and the best part is the SUN is coming out :) maybe we will get some time outside later. Owen, poppy and I made some apple crisp this afternoon while Chubby napped on Tyler's lap. Mmmm. It smells good.

Goodbye Summer

It managed to reach sixty five degrees today! I guess I have to let go of any chance of warm weather. I officially packed up the boys shorts :( So sad.

Owen and I went to Wal-Mart to get a Halloween costume for him. He picked out Optimus Prime (the transformer) . He looks good in it, although I think he hates the mask. Little Chubb is going to be a spider (a hand me down, I know! poor kid) He looks cute in it though :)

Here are some last summer Horray moments! Check out Owen's new hair cut :)

Buggy time
yes the poor kid is playing with a car charger for my cell phone
I know he is so handsome ;)

Rainy Days

Chubb helping poppy clean up. check out his football pads, lol!

Rain. Ughhh... It's so miserable being indoors all day. My head is spinning and I feel so trapped.

I did go to JoAnn Fabrics todays to look for fabric for chubby's Halloween costume. Of course they only had neon colors in the type of fabric I needed. I think I am just going to buy him a costume. So much for Susie Homemaker.. I feel like such a failure. On the bright side, I did fix one of my shirts that fat old me tore the seem out of a few days ago. Woo-Who!

Brett has been quite the little fussy man lately. I keep blaming it on teeth. He also has a lot of congestion, allergies maybe...or a cold. I hate respiratory cold season, it is never ending!

Owen is doing great in pre-school! I am so proud of him and I cannot believe how BIG he is getting. We gave him a hair cut yesterday. That is Tyler and I did. It didn't turn out to bad. Made him look a year older though :( I don't want him to grow! Either of them for that matter.

I got to spend an hour an half of well needed time out of the house yesterday with some friends. That was nice. We ate dinner at the OIP in Burnham. Mmmm.

Well enough rambling I suppose. Maybe I will take a nap.

Long Day

We spent the day at the Penn State game. What a game, they blew Temple away! The boys spent the day with their Nana. She said they had a good time. Both seem to be coming down with a chest cold, yea for us. The first illnesses of the season, and its only September!! Keep your fingers crossed we don't get pneumonia this year. Looks like we will all be in bed early tonight :)

Today wasn't much of a productive day. It only managed to reach sixty seven degrees. brr. Brett has napped twice so far, forty minutes for the first one and only ten for the second one. Owen hasn't napped at all, I'm not to sure he will either. I sure could use a nap...

Ramblings of a first post

So I am going to attempt a blog. Good for me right?

Today is a lazy Friday. No school and it's chilly out. I don't mind not doing anything when it's cold, just snuggle under a blanket with my boys. My favorite thing to do and place to be, under a warm blanket with two of my favorites. Owen isn't much for cuddling though, unless he isn't feeling well or is tired. Brett on the other hand can't get enough cuddling. Cartoons are on the TV which is a usual in this house when daddy isn't home (then its usually football or racing). As I sit here and type, Owen is curled up on the chair in the living room under his favorite blanket watching Tom & Jerry (the cartoons on the TV). He looks so sweet sitting there so quietly, this is unusual for him by the way. He is usually flying around the house like a maniac, but i suppose that is what four year olds do. Brett is sleeping upstairs in his crib, on mommy's pillow. He never naps long, usually twenty minutes at a time and only two or three times a day. Not much time for me to even get a drink. I am sure it is because his brother is so loud most of the times, once again I suppose that is what four year olds do. Today must be an exception because he has been down for about a half hour now. Maybe it is because his brother is quiet. I can't believe how big they are both getting. It seems like just yesterday I was holding Owen as and infant. My sweet little Owen. Now there are TWO, and they are BIG BOYS. I suppose most people wouldn't considered Brett a big boy, but I do. He is crawling and pulling up and into everything. He looks like a little man in his long pants and T-Shirts. I miss my babies!

Tyler was off to work early this morning, as he is every morning. I hate him driving so far but for now that is the way it will be. As for me, my mind is clear today. I felt this morning it was a good day. We will see. The sun is shining, although it is only fifty degrees out right now. It's not supposed to get any warmer than seventy today. You must think I am crazy for saying it is COLD. I miss summer. I am one for getting up and putting on shorts and a T-Shirt first thing and being able to go anywhere in my bare feet. I hate wearing sweatshirts and socks. Oh where did summer go....
