Time to Crash

I had a great trip! Just wanted to drop a line that I survived another year of black Friday shopping. We had a blast and got lots of great deals. I have been up since three this am! I am ready for bed. One night at home and tomorrow I am off to see my mom and then to Stephies for the night. I get Thanksgiving all over again tomorrow and Sunday :) Lucky me, I am going to be nice and plump :) I will get pictures up when I get back hopefully!

I wanted to post in advance because I have a busy day tomorrow. Lunch at noon then off for a shopping trip with Brenda, Heidi and Vanessa. Hope everyone has a happy, healthy and safe holiday!

I'm Back

Sorry I was MIA again. We had a few struggles the past few days. Tyler never made it home from work last night because of the icy roads and some accidents (Not Tyler, other people). Brett wasn't feeling well last night and didn't sleep well. The boys both got their second flu shot today. Owen is walking around with Great-Great Meme's /Poppy's cane because he says his leg hurts from the shot. Everything is going ok now, a little busy though! Owen got a hair cut on Sunday, he looks very handsome.

First STEPS!

Oh yes, you read that right. Brett took his first wobbly steps today! Two times he took about three steps. And now the fun begins...



We didn't do much else today. Owen spent the whole day in his PJ's. At least now we don't have to fight him to get them on for bed tonight. Tomorrow I am going to try and cut his hair.

Owen looked out the front door this morning and said "Holy Smokes! Look at all that snow!" Then he said "can I go out and play?". This was at seven AM. So needless to say mom and Owen got bundled and ventured out before I had to leave for class.


After I got home from school we had to go out again. So I got BOTH boys bundled this time. Chubby loved the snow though, if he had a pair of boots and the snow wouldn't have gotten into his pants I think he would have stayed out all morning. After we came in we had hot chocolate with marshmallows. Soon it will be nap time!

Thursday already!

Sorry I have been MIA! I don't even know where the time went. I wasn't feeling well Tuesday night and most of the day yesterday. I feel pretty good today. I can't believe it is Thursday already though. Not much else has been going on. The boys are still healthy and doing well! I want to give Aunt Stephie a big thank you for watching the boys Tuesday, Owen and Brett had a great time with Oliver. Owen keeps asking when he is coming back. My appt went well by the way, hopefully I will be feeling better soon :) Which will make everyone else feel better I'm sure.

Snow!

Two post in one day, you must be very lucky readers. It started to snow right after I finished my last post. Owen said he wanted to go build a snowman, silly guy. I got some pictures of our first snow!

I also wanted to just advise everyone that we may very well have another walker on our hands by christmas I am sure, may be even within the next few weeks. Unless the turd decided he is lazy, which is very well possible since he has just started holding his own bottle. And yes I have proof of that one also!

These pictures were taken twelve days apart. In the first I had to stand Owen up and got a few shots of him 'standing'. Thats why I took the picture, it was the first he would actually stand long enough for me get a picture. As you all know Chubby has been standing long enough for me to get pictures for a few weeks now. The second picture was taken twelve days later. We were getting ready for Tyler's grandparents wedding anniversary party. Owen was walking across the living room. I give it a few more weeks, want to start a poll? I say by December 17, thats one month.

I cooked lunch yesterday and Pops and Meme joined Dad, Tyler, Owen, Brett and I for a great meal! Afterwards we had cake. Mmm. Yes I am a whole 23 years old now...where did the time go?


So tomorrow is my appt. I think I am nervous, or maybe I'm nervous about clinic. I don'tknow. I have a whole list of things to talk with the Dr. about shes going to think I am nuts. I will just blame it on my mom ;) Love you Mom! Steph and Oliver are coming up bright and early to babysit Owen and Brett. I haven't told Owen yet, I think I will wait and let him be surprised. I am so glad and thankful that my sister loves me so much. Well thats all I have for now. Wish me luck :)

Peanut

Its the third time around for the 'peanut' outfit! I love it. I remember when Aunt Stephie got it for Owen. It was so fitting because he was such a little squirt and I often caught myself and others calling him 'peanut'. I spent all afternoon looking for a picture of Owen and a picture of Oliver wearing it. I know I have one of each of them but haven't been able to locate them. If someone has one please let me know!

Good News

Gram is coming home from the hospital today. I still haven't had the chance to talk to her but from what my mom says she is doing well.

I finally made a first attempt to contact someone for my independent study. I am looking into going to the Meadows and hopefully they will allow me to be in the children's unity ages 5-12. I left a message with the director of nursing so hopefully she will be calling back.

I also finally made an appt with my pcp to look at the eczema on my hand and talk to him about my mood issues. Good news for all I am sure :)

The boys are playing nicely in the living room for a change, maybe I can get some work done on my term paper that is due in two weeks!

This is today, actually right now while I am typing this and should be getting something else done.

This one is yesterday a little before 4 I think. He woke up and went potty and then went back to sleep around 5. He slept all night too!

More good news to add to the pile... Only 3 more days until my birthday :) AND only 1 month and a week until CHRISTMAS! wow, I can't believe how time flies. I think I need to add a counter for thanksgiving...

Feeling Better

As the majority of you know our household has not been the healthiest, me being the latest to be down and out. I am glad to say I am feeling better and almost back to myself. To the rest of the family that I so graciously passed this bug onto I am truly sorry and I hope you all are feeling better soon!

I would also like to say that my Gram Loht is in the hospital. She was admitted yesterday with confirmation of a blood clot in her lung. I believe she is doing well but I myself have not been in to see her. I hope to make it in this evening. All reports I have gotten through the grape vine have been good ones to my understanding. Please keep her in your prayers!

The boys are still healthy and just as active as always (Knock on wood) Keep them in your prayers as well that they do not get 'the bug'. Owen had a good day at school yesterday and I am hoping he is having a good day today as well.

Only 45 days left until Christmas! I got a new counter for my page. Another quick reminder.. Only 7 more days for one of the most important days of the year... My birthday! You know you love me :)

The boys had a great day with Grammy today. Owen slept for four hours this afternoon. He was exhausted after this weekend and today. I don't think he will be ready for bed until after ten tonight. I don't know if I can make it that long!

We went to see Nana last night, this is what resulted from that visit. They love you Nana :) Owen wants a pair of antler's now. The little pair wouldn't stay on Brett so we had to switch them. The big pair is the size of Brett. So cute aren't they!

Weekend events

We had a wonderful time while Oliver was here :) We had a camp fire last night and roasted some marshmallows. It was a little cold but we had fun. Grammy Loht's birthday surprise turned out great. We all made it to church and then we had food and cake afterwards. The boys didn't want to say goodbye.

is it really November?

It reached 70 degrees today! Is it really November 5th? When I got home from picking up Owen from preschool we went outside to play and made a "HUGE" leaf pile (in Owen's words). We spent the afternoon playing in the leaves and Owen dug a hole for a little while so he could plant a 'corn tree' with daddy's corn for the squirls. Here's some pictures of our day :)

I put Brett in the yard and went to open the garage door for Owen so he could ride his buggy and this is how I found Brett when I returned! Thank goodness I had my camera in hand or I would have missed the shot!
And once again in a different part of the yard the little bugger decided he wanted to stand, he almost looks like he was taking a step. Not yet though, soon enough I am sure!
